About Laura
Laura DaSilva became a benefits broker because she experienced firsthand how overwhelming and confusing the insurance world can be during one of life’s most difficult seasons.
Years ago, Laura helped her father navigate Medicare while also trying to figure out long-term care and memory care options for him. At the time, neither of them understood how Medicare worked, what resources were available, or what steps they should be taking. As Laura says, “We had no clue what we were doing.”
Although they worked with an advisor, they were never fully guided through their options or educated about the benefits and financial resources available to them. Important opportunities for savings and support were missed simply because no one took the time to truly advocate for them or walk beside them through the process.
That experience changed Laura’s life, and launched Beacon Health Advocate.
Laura became a licensed broker because she never wanted other families to feel as lost or overwhelmed as her family did. Today, Laura is dedicated to providing concierge-level service rooted in trust, education, and advocacy. She believes clients deserve more than just a policy recommendation; they deserve someone who will patiently explain their options, answer their questions, help them understand available benefits, provide resources, and guide them every step of the way.
